(Al-Qalam) 68 : 42
يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
On a terrible Day when they will be called for prostration, they won’t be able to do it.
The believer is in a conscious that each and every moment of this worldly life after the age of fifteen is being recorded in the book of deeds fastened around his neck, and on the Day of Judgement the reckoning of everyone will be done by reading it which will be given to everyone as an illuminated spread open book as explained in verses 17: 13-14. The Kuffar-the Fujjar-will be regretting while reading that book as told in verse 18: 49, and that Day will be very terrible for them. See explanation 39: 15-16; 41: 19-24; and 70: 4.
